Two charged with child abuse

tisha wright charged with child abuse well about time.i hope the babies are ok and prison doesn't treat her well

nothing, grandparents got babies (that is a joke in itself) the other two are in jail... crying... boo hoo they don't even deserve jail.

tisha was cleared of all charges and now has her children back thank god for DHS.

I don't think Tish got her kids back, could be wrong though. She sure don't deserve them. But if she did don't blame DHS, it is DCFS and besides the judge is the one that gave them back if it this is true. Sad thing is they are probably as well off with her as where they were placed.

The local DHS needs some house cleaning done down there. In another post it talks about them double dipping into the system. Now that in itself is rotten. Janis Griffen is suppose to be retired but she is still on the payroll and running the business down there ? If this girl was given her childern back after what she let go on who made this decesion ? That bitch is just as guilty as the man they charged. She moved him in and let him stay there and let this go on without doing anything for those poor helpless kids. If you have ever been down there and needed some help lots of luck in getting it unless you have a bunch of illigement kids that are mixed. Big ugly fat girls with mixed babies that are the ones to suffer. Living off of our tax dollars. But let an elderly person go down there and ask for something. See what happens. NOTHING They give the elderly a pittance of food stamps and medical aid. When that is where is should be going.

DHS has nothing to do with the kids or where they go DHS was court ordered by judes hasley to release the kids to the grandparents and trish is court ordered to stay away from the kids.

From what I have been told (since this happened) Tisha was mean and abusive to those kids long before the man ever came into the picture!

I have since heard the same thing. Yes DHS had a heck of a lot to do with it. The workers can come on here and say what they want to. First off they had the kids in their custody is the way it goes and then down hill from there. They want to dodge the bullet is all.

i was in court the day that Judge Halsey told DHS to turn the kids over to the grand parents. Dhs was not happy because there had not been a home study completed

U R so right the elderly people get 10.00 worth of food stamps a week. if a person is layed of from a job don't go there u will not get any help. It all goes to the lazy people that r able to work but don't want to they want to live off of the goverment and do nothing.But on the other hand there some promient people in the town that have there grand children living with them just to get food stamps. these people have lots of property, including land, rental property,etc. Should not be allowed to do this. and if Janice griffin is retired why is she still there? If you turned it in it would do no good because her best friend the congressman would make sure that nothing ever became of it. This county is all messed up.

DHS does not write the rules they follow them. The employee do what they can to help, no it is not always fair and the employees agree to this themselves, but they have policy to enforce, so instead of critizing the employees contact your congressman. FYI what the person is saying about Judge Halsey is true DCFS did not feel that decision was right. Do you know how many hours those workers put in, taking children out of abusive situations only to have a judge put them back in it or in one that is just as bad?

"What" that is so true about some judges. My parents were foster parents for most of my life & I've seen it first hand. These poor children are so messed up by the abuse that when they're older they end up in mental hospitals &/or prison. At least when a judge does keep the kids away from the abusers they have a better chance of making it. I'm not saying foster care is great I'm just saying that some of them will have better chances. I know that there are some foster homes are as bad/or worse than what kids came from. But there are some homes where the kids feel loved, wanted & safe. Our problem in poinsett county is not enough foster homes. That's part of the reason why the judges make some bad decisions. Its like their hands are tied. I can garuntee some judges have problems sleeping at night cause of having no other choices. I would love to be a foster parent but I have disabilities that prevent me from it.
Let's all try to get more people signed up. Also, I feel there is nothing wrong with single people or gays being foster parents. That's another part of the problem. Those kids are missing out on some great homes because the government is ignorant. I mean its not like they can catch "gayness" like the flu, and there are more single parent households nowadays than couples. So get a clue!
