Crusader varsity loses on the road
The Crusader varsity boys put up a valiant effort against Cape Fear Academy Thursday night, but the home team proved too strong for the visitors, taking the win 55-38. Harrells trailed by only 5, 16-11, at the end of the first quarter and were able to tie it up at 25 by the half.
Harrells girls win a close one
It was a close game from the start, but the Harrells Christian Academy varsity girls were able to get the road win against Cape Fear Academy, eking out a 40-38 win.
Tractor-trailer overturns near Moss Hill School
N.C. Department of Transportation workers replace a utility pole which was clipped off about 6:30 Thursday morning on N.C. 55 West near Elmore Davis Road when an 18-wheeler, belonging to Ezzell Trucking of Harrells, ran off the right side of the highway and overturned.

Harrells JV boys scorch O'Neal
The JV Harrells Crusaders took a commanding lead in the first quarter and kept giving it to visiting O'Neal, defeating them 56-33. Harrells jumped out to a 10-3 lead and built on that momentum, and although O'Neal staged a comeback in the second quarter, the Crusaders managed to take a 22-17 lead into the half.

The Lady Crusaders of Harrells Christian jumped out to an early 10-5 lead over visiting Cape Fear Academy Tuesday night and never looked back, getting the win 43-32. Although it was game in which the Crusaders got off to a strong start, Harrells couldn't manage to hold on as the smart and physical play of Fayetteville Christian prevailed.
Although the JV Crusaders from Harrells Christian held their own during the first half of play against Fayetteville Christian Academy, they couldn't hold out to get the home win.
