Shelby County deputies arrest Harpersville man after finding meth lab in vehicle

A 33-year-old Harpersville man was arrested on charges of first degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after members of Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force found a methemphetamine lab inside a vehicle, the sheriff's office said today.

Arrest made in fatal shooting

One man is dead and another injured after a shooting early Sunday morning. Corley Rogene Watters, 29, of Harpersville was shot around 2:30 a.m. near the 100 Block of Wood Street.
