I hate it for the coach, because I know he wasn't really intending on anyone dying, however, this should teach these coaches a lesson in the future, that our children are not machines and should not be pushed and pushed and pushed. They feel that they have to play to be popular yet, the coaches take the fun out of any sport as young as Kindergarten by pushing these children and teens to the limit. I hope this sets new requirements for coaches that children should be allowed to rest and drink water. Also, My heart goes out to the family of the teen that died, as well as the boy whose life ended so soon. And, the coach, I know this was just normal for him as a coach. It happens all the time in school. I think murder charges are a bit much. I dunno though, if It were my boy, I'd probably be so upset at him.

I have wanted to say something on this for some time. Not just this case but for all the kids out there in sports programs who are on medication like Aderal and Ritilan and what ever medications doctors & parents are giving these kids.
Just visualize trhis for a second for me. What are those drugs? Stimulants basically and what do stimulants do to the heart? Make them race right. Well if a heart races so much what happens? It hardens like a tioght muscle which then can not pump blood through the body properly. Your heart is a muscle and should be a loose muscle like jello sort of to flub a round easily to deliver blood comfortably to the body. We are going to see a lot more of this. and I'd like to know how many of the other kids in the news who have dropped during a sport practice who also were on those medications. We are going to see a generation of children grow up with severe heart problems from these drugs not to mention what ever else they do to the body. I can pick a kid out of a group just by their size their eyes and behavior who are on these drugs. I am so amazed at how many kids in my school who are on these drugs. My son who is now 21 and an athlete in college is healthy. When he was in Jr. high this man from the tech school he was looking into suggested to put him on Aderal. I think it was suggested to me by that school numerous times until I finally pointed my fingers @ all of the teachers in the room during one of those parent meetings and looked at each of them and said "Don't any of you dare recomend medication for my son. " He wasnt a behavioral problem or anything. He hated school because it was around the time special ED really was the rage and they were saving their arse / jobs. They needed students to meet a quota to justify their programs. People give these drugs to kids who don't need them. They give them to them to perform better in school not thinking of the health risks for them later. These kids look like racoons because of the dark circles under their eyes. Most of them have had their growth stunted by them. Puberty is slowed donw. These are my observatiosn. Not a medical study but as a Mother I have seen such sad results from those drugs. i know some children need them but before you ok them for your child think real hard. Maybe take them yourself for awhile and see if your head doesnt feel like its going to explode or your tummy aches or your heart doesnt feel like your going to have a heart attack. I'm so glad I din't listen to those fools! |
