Earth Day was commemorated by a group led by the Laurentian Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club with Earth Day readings on the summit of Catamount in the Town of Colton as well as on the shore of Carry Falls Reservoir.

Elizabeth L. Bronson, 27, Hannawa Falls, was in a personal-injury accident in Parishville Tuesday afternoon.

James A. Helmar, 59, Hannawa Falls, was charged by Potsdam police Friday night with first-offense driving while intoxicated, failure to obey a police officer, and speeding.
