Official: Wyo. highway may have failed in minutes
A raging creek may have surreptitiously undermined a highway over a few hours and then in a matter of minutes gouged out a huge trench where a Colorado family's van plunged into the water, killing a woman and her three daughters, a state Transportation Department spokesman said.
