Trinity Christian Center is sponsoring a chicken dinner fundraiser for local teenager and cancer survivor, Anna Hicks, on Saturday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The port-a-pit chicken dinner will be held at Main Street Learning Place at 217 E. Main Street in Elkin.

Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office on April 19 arrested Keith Payne, 62, of Hamptonville on seven counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses.
