School district reacts to shots fired report
An announcement to the parents and guardians of Fairview Heights Elementary School students went out from the Richmond County Schools Thursday morning just before 11 a.m. to inform them of shots fired near the school.

One family is dealing with the loss of a family member, along with cracked and bruised ribs and other injuries, resulting from a vehicle collision when a car ran a stop sign Friday night in Cordova, survivors said.
