NM gets money for observatory road upgrades near Socorro
New Mexico is getting nearly $3 million in federal grants for transportation projects, including improvements to a road to an observatory's visitor center near Socorro.
Construction on Canal Street north of Church is underway. The intersection of Hagerman and Canal as well as the intersection of McKay and Canal will be closed on alternating sides for installation of the storm drain, followed by the median lanes of Canal through these intersections.
