Sup't Isom attends first BOE meeting
Charles Isom, the new superintendent of the Superior School District, participated in his first board of education meeting Monday in the high school library. All eight board members were present, as well as elementary principal Doug Hoins and secondary principal Bob Cook.
Before the start of the regular meeting, three short public hearings were conducted for review of the district's policies concerning parental involvement, student fees and bullying.
The parental involvement policy was unchanged. Isom reiterated the necessity of making information about students and their education available to parents. Mr. Cook offered information about some of the ways parents currently have access to that information.
