Patriot Guard Riders rescue family from burning vehicle

A family of four was rescued from their burning vehicle on Saturday by Patriot Guard Riders as they were escorting the body of a serviceman killed in Afghanistan, the Porter County Sheriff's Police said.

Sunday Arrests by City Police

At 3:25 a.m. Officer Joe Deisch arrested Wayne Hardesty, 23, from Grovertown for Public Intox in the 1000 block of West Jefferson Street.A His $500 cash bond was paid at 3:35 p.m. and he was released.
