When KOTV first reported this, they interviewed one of the cooks from this place. He had a shaggy goatee and a piercing in his tongue. When he talked to the reporter, it looked like a bug flying around in his mouth. Really didn't help the credibility for their defense.

I still don't see how they could place so much blame on this restaurant. I read that the whole town is practically infected with e coli.

There's an artesian well just outside of town on scenic 412. Above this clear cold running water is a DUMP SIGHT. Now I don't know if it was put in before or after the spring was discovered or even welled out, but either way, it showed a lack of common sense on someone's part.

It's been one thing after another for the whole county. It seems to me that it's been super bad within the last three or four years. It seems like Mayes county just can't seem to get a break.

If I didn't know better, I'd say someone is fed up with the place.

The Methodist Church is almost next door to Country Cottage. Many reunions and funeral dinners are held there. Are we next? I suggest Mazzios be careful, too.

I don't think these people are trying to get rich. They just want to be able to pay off their medical bills. After everything they have been through, I don't think they are asking for much. It isn't fair to lump these people in with the idiot McDonalds coffee lady.
You should read the whole story about the McDonald's coffe lady before you post. The woman was not driving a car...she was a passenger, suffered 3rd degree burns, was in the hospital for 2 weeks, had to have skin grafting, and originaly only asked McDonald's to pay her medical bills ($20,000.00).

During the court case McDonalds own witness testified that the coffee was being served at a temp. that "was too hot for human consumption", and that there had been numerous other burnings by customers.

McDonald's clearly already knew that there was a problem and neglected to address it. They had the chance to get out of this with only paying $20,000.00 and chose to be deffiant about it and got what they deserved in a court of law.

It is a sad state of affairs that we as Americans find it easier to put ourselves in the place of a corporation instead od the place of a fellow human.

I think it was but they never found evidence to prove they were the original source of the Ecoli. They found it everywhere in Locust Grove. It's really strange. Looks like it could be pinpointed somehow.

I remember eating there once and thinking about what if someone got sick here, or how easy it would be to get sick. The buffet just seemed too open for my liking. The food was okay, but lines of people walk right by it in the open. Also, I didn't feel comfortable with the kitchen employees. They seemed dirty and ill kept. I didn't even see all of them; just the ones who brought the food out.
Needless to say, I wasn't a frequent customer

I liked the atmosphere though. And the music was, IMO, the best kind ever written.
