Groesbeck fire destroys century-old frame house
About 20 firefighters from four fire departments spent more than four hours Wednesday extinguishing a blaze in a century-old frame home on the 100 block of Brazos Street in Groesbeck, according to Groesbeck Fire Chief Patrick Samuels.
State and #8217;s First Protestant Church Has Long, Storied Past
A log replica of the first protestant church in Texas sits on the edge of one of the state's oldest graveyards near here on County Road 861, a reminder of an incredible tale of a pioneer family in Texas' history back in the 1800s.
