Man Identified In Greenville Suspicious Death

This has a lot of unanswered questions.

From the stories in the Advocate he was found in a van that had been sitting for a few days--long enough for the body to begin decomposing. It hasn't been *that* cold here lately! And the sun shining in would've sped up the process. Why didn't anyone notice the smell?

For that matter, didn't anyone walking by look in the van and wonder why someone was inside for a long period of time w/o moving? They may have thought he was asleep, but even sleepers change position.

Now the police are ruling it a homocide.

CrimeStoppers should offer a reward. Hope the guilty party(s) is found soon.

My prayers are with the family of this latest victim in Greenville.
I'm so tired of unsolved crimes in Greenville. Murders, car thefts, break-ins, arsons and the list goes on.....Can't even keep your doors unlocked anymore. Really the only good thing about the Greenville PD is that they do get those speeders..woohoo...

No names are being released at this time because of the investigation. All info being heard is considered hear say and all I have heard is it originated in Bartonia...(Rand. Co.)

i just read on the uc topix that they arrested terry durbin in winchester indiana at 245 today and is pleminary charged with the murder and is being held at randolph couty jail.

That "piece of shit druggy" was my uncle. He had a family who loved him very much and no matter what he chose to do in his private life he did not deserve his life to be taken from him. My grandmother is now without a son, his children without a father, his grandchildren without their grandfather, siblings without their brother, and neices and nephews who are deeply saddened by his loss. He loved his family and would've given the shirt off his back to anyone in need. You obviously are an immature punk incapable of feeling human emotion. This is not a time to say such cruel things. Our family is going through enough. And by the way idiot, before you start talking trash about my uncle and cousins (yes those are his nephews) learn how to spell the name...it's CHEADLE and I'm damn proud to be one - white trash or not. It must suck to be you and to be so perfect and have such a perfect family where no one makes mistakes.

To the person who calls him "a piece of shit druggy", I hope YOU rot in hell. I knew this guy somewhat, waited on him in a restaurant on a regular basis. He was a very nice guy who did not deserve this. I hope those two guys have a sucky life here after in prison. Pat will be missed by me, but more importantly, he has a family, ASSWHOLE!!!!

Dexter, I love to hear people talk who know nothing honest to say so they just run their mouths. The only one who we need to care about is God. He will judge this crime. Whomever took Pats life will pay in their own hell for life. As far as you, its not worth wasting our breath and slandering you as you do others . I cant say a thing about you either except to say hell wont be full anytime soon so you will join these kind of people for eternily if you dont turn your life over to God. HE IS JUDGE AND JURY! Never watched CSI a day in my life and I'm damn proud to state that I have never ever been in trouble by the law EVER...clean record on my end!!!
I don't have any idea as to what really happens behind the scenes in Law Enforcement....??? As a matter of fact, I DO thank you very much...One of my family members belongs to the Sheriff's Dept.....Kudos to the Sheriff's Dept..!!!
