Items from Jeannette glass museum to be auctioned this weekend
When : Sunday; preview begins at 9 a.m., building auction at 10 a.m., glass auction at 11 a.m. Years of collecting locally made glassware in every color, shape and design will be gone in a matter of hours Sunday.
Westmoreland Specialty Company grew out of Specialty Glass Company when the business moved from East Liverpool, Ohio to Grapeville, Pennsylvania in the late 1880s.
Coroner: Woman Stepped in Front of Train
Witnesses said 64-year-old Judith Elaine Buchanan stepped onto the tracks near Grapeville early Wednesday afternoon and ignored the freight train's horn.
