Mason County: Driver fell asleep, hit stump state troopers say

A Grapeview man suffered a broken arm and head injury just before 6 a.m. Sunday after he fell asleep and his southbound 2006 Chevrolet Colorado struck a stump on state Route 3 about seven miles north of Shelton, the State Patrol reported.

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office has identified 51-year-old Michael Wayne Fraser of Grapeview, Wash., as the motorcyclist who died when his bike slid more than 200 feet into an oncoming car on North Market Street.
