Granville has received the okay from the state to improve a half-mile section of Town Highway 21 that runs through a Class 2 wetland, to create access for two badly damaged roads in Hancock and Rochester.

Severe damage to municipal roads in Hancock and Rochester have town officials contemplating creating a stretch of road on a Class 4 road that runs through Granville to connect routes for the winter.

The Vermont Agency of Transportation said Tuesday it had opened the storm-damaged bridge along Route 7 in Clarendon.
