Driver dies in crash on Route 3; car hits concrete support, breaks into pieces

An Indiana woman was killed in a car crash early Wednesday near Granite City. Heidi Walsh-Wait, 32, of Granger, Ind., was driving on Interstate 270 near Route 3 when she apparently lost control of her car, according to Madison County Coroner Steve Nonn.
