It was a frightening experience for a local woman who nearly lost her life after the car she was driving ended up in a river.A The woman has an unknown hero to thank for her survival.

Deputies say a Good Samaritan rescued a woman who drove into the Grand River. The frightening moments were captured in a 911 call.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office and Perry Joint Fire District were dispatched to Vrooman Road at the Grand River in Perry Township Thursday morning when it was reported that a vehicle had driven off the roadway and was submerged in the Grand River.
