GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Police say a drunken motorist hit a man on a bicycle, then abandoned the car with the dying man's body still wedged through the back windshield.

The accident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday in the 3400 block of E. Main Street in Grand Prairie.

Police say 27-year-old Vincent Paul Riojas was driving his 2004 Chevy Cavalier east on Main Street when he drifted across the center line and hit a bicyclist head-on.

Accident investigators say 59-year-old Ronnie Monroe Keller was thrown onto the hood of the car, then sailed onto the roof and through the back windshield.

They say Riojas then drove the car to a relative's home in the 400 block of NE 38th Street.

Ten minutes later, police got a 911 call when the relatives found Keller's body in the back seat. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Riojas was found hiding under a neighbor's car.

Officers did a blood alcohol test on Riojas, but the results won't be back for about a month.
