My wife, daughter and I visited the Inn for the first time this evening. We live on Grand Island for the past year but we were not aware of the Village Inn. We are now! We highly recommend it. Cozy, yes. Quaint, yes. Standing room and waiting, yes. Fantastic food, oh yes. We started with bruschetta, fresh tomatoes, baby spinach, delicious bread, flavorful olive oil, an absolute treat. One appetizer was more than enough for the three of us, all adults. But my daughter and I also ordered a cup of fish bisque, I with Tabasco. Great soup. They also have a super-sounding crab soup that I will try next time. Dinner came home with us. My daughter and I ordered the fish fry, she with curly fries and I with mac and cheese. Both winners. My wife ordered a steak salad that she loved. The service was wonderful. Our server did not tell us her name (relief), and she did not bother us to check on our pleasure but once. It is small, tables relatively close but we had no trouble hearing ourselves with little background chattering. Come to Grand Island and visit the Village Inn. It is worth the drive on I-190 over either bridge.
