I-10 east of LaPlace now reopened

Interstate 10 has reopened east of LaPlace, authorities said. A stretch of the highway had been closed in both directions due to an accident early this morning between two 18-wheelers. Authorities had to close the stretch entirely while sulfuric acid was offloaded from one of the trucks.
