Palo Pinto General Hospital now has seasonal flu vaccine. Those wanting the shot can go to the PPGH clinic 9 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Mineral Wells High School is encouraging students to "Go Get It" this week through a state initiative for students to go to college and be successful after high school.
Teens awake to cabin afire, escape unharmed
Three teens asleep in a house near Possum Kingdom Lake when a fire started escaped after waking up and smelling smoke around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Palo Pinto County Fire Marshal Barry Gill.
Driver pulled from flooded creek
The saturated ground and 2.91 inches of rain recorded Wednesday at the Mineral Wells Municipal Airport resulted in flash flooding that reportedly caused two cars to be swept off the road because of high water.
