Gowanda Central School District voters will take to the booths Tuesday to decide upon up to nearly $7 million in EXCEL-aided capital improvements to school property.

There will be prizes galore as the Hamburg Natural History Society holds its 14th annual Penn Dixie Fundraiser from 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday in Romanello's South Restaurant, 5793 South Park Ave., Hamburg.

The Section 6 cross country championships will be held today at Elma Meadows. The boys races open the competition, starting with Class D at 10:30 a.m. Class AA is at 11 a.m., Class A at 11:30 a.m., Class B at noon and Class C at 12:30 p.m. The girls races kick off at 1 p.m. for Class D schools.
