Dam Gate Failure Posing No Immediate Threat
The failure Monday afternoon of one of the gates at the Lake Merriweather dam poses no immediate danger to the public, Rockbridge County emergency management coordinator Robert Foresman emphasized from the Goshen site later this evening.

Supervisors Agree To Funds For Goshen
Rockbridge County on Monday came to the aid of the town of Goshen. The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to provide up to $250,000 to Goshen so it can proceed with a $2.7 million project to replace the town's aging water system.
