The body of Larry Wayne Thomas, 64, a Vietnam veteran who also loved bowling, officiating high school sports and operating ham radios, was pulled from the reservoir around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Rankin County Coroner Jimmy Roberts said Thomas' body is being taken to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine if a medical condition could have led to the fisherman's falling into the water.

A search of Ross Barnett Reservoir was to resume this morning after an empty boat was found circling without an operator on Tuesday.
