why have the halloween party if 2,000 students will be arrested that night? Seems like $$$$ for the county at parent's expense if you ask me! And where are the foot police when your childs car is being keyed and bashed in for no reason?

ma'am i sitting here wondering if you've been to one of these "Parties". Those students, suddenly become possesed the intoxication is rampant, lust, love are confused accidents happen, fights break out, we close streets to the main party areas and try to turn non-locals away but those suckers still come out to get as blitzed as possible...the streets are littered with out-of-towners. As a local cop i said to said to county officials "is it really worth it?" they seem to like the high numbers of liquor sales and all the money we get from the tickets we post. But let me tell you in my youth there was no better place than Isla Vista to juice up and snort oxycontin and have drunken sex with a random chick.LOL sorry i had to try being a cop for a second.
Im a local college student, i think attention should be brought to halloween in isla vista. It gets pretty violent and scary sometimes...Oh and tips for your student..bring a phone and a buddy maybe two buddies...go in a group definitely...

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Taurus

If your goals are fairly modest in the short term, they are achievable and you're likely to get some praise for achievements along the way. If you aim too high too quickly, others might not take you seriously or think you're being uppity and you could come unstuck. It's all a question of attitude and approach. There are contradictory influences over the next ten days but there could also be good luck coming your way.
