As a Reno native, I was surprised the Sept. 27 article on the Riverside Hotel failed to mention gaming pioneer Nick Abelman, especially since he ran the casino, corner bar, dance bands, etc., from 1934 to 1949, longer than anyone! He leased it from George Wingfield on a handshake.
