William Hickman, the 13-year-old Burien boy who was rescued Sunday from a ledge just feet from 265-foot Wallace Falls, said that he's fortunate he walked away from the ordeal with little more than cuts and scrapes on his feet.

SEATTLE The 13-year-old Burien, Wash., boy who was rescued Sunday from a ledge just feet from 270-foot Wallace Falls said that he's fortunate he walked away from the ordeal with little more than cuts and scrapes on his feet.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Unit and Gold Bar Fire worked into the early hours of the morning Sunday to rescue a 13-year-old Burien boy from the rocks above Wallace Falls in Gold Bar.

The boy was wading in the Wallace River Saturday afternoon when he slipped and went down a 10-foot waterfall.
