Liverpool Township house fire deemed suspicious
Liverpool Township Fire Department was notified at 10:18 p.m. by the city police department that the one-story frame house on Oakland Street was on fire, and firefighters arrived to find it engulfed.
Spilled scrap closes East Liverpool street
A tractor-trailer that lost its brakes coming down Lisbon Street Tuesday morning crashed on West Eighth Street, spilling its load of scrap metal and injuring the driver, but officials said it was fortunate no one else was hurt in the normally-busy intersection near Westgate School.
Chief Wayne Chamberlain of the West Point Volunteer Fire Department said flames were through the roof of the T-shaped business offices when he and seven other firefighters arrived at 14533 East Liverpool Road around 4:30 p.m. They had the fire under control in about an hour and prevented the fire from spreading to one of the welding shops about 30 ...
