i am very torn about how i feel about all of this. Yes I feel very sorry for jamies family, I feel for his mother, who lost her son, I feel for his children that will never get to see their father again. however, i also feel very bad for louis, yes what he did was wrong, but i think of myself in that situation, and i can't help but think i would react in a similar fashion. We have a right to protect ourselves if we feel threatened, obviously louis felt threatened. And I can't help but wonder what the definition of "self defense" is. Do i think that jamie should have been killed that night? absolutely NOT. But do I think 18 yrs in prison is the correct sentence....... No I don't. I think louis needs some help, however I do not think 18 yrs in prison is right. This is a definite lose/lose situation, and it is very sad.

Hopefully I don't sound heartless as this was a horribly tragic situation. However, this news is soooooooo old and I for one am tired of seeing it as a headline. Isn't there anything new that has happened in the area since?
for your info

this man did need help but the sherrifs department did nothing to protect anyone either and as far as being helpless and not noing what he was doing thats BULLSHT he knew very well what he was doing mental health put him through all the tests and he passed with flying colors so feeling sorry for him and what he did i hardly think so.....and feeling threatened by jamie thats a load of bull to and 18 yrs is NOT long enough for what he did.
no way

Excuse me, but Jamie was a lousy father and husband. He abused his woman on more than one occasion. He and his buddies also had been harrasing that man for a long time. Why do you think he built the fence? If someone is walking up MY driveway on MY property with a crowbar, he would get the same.

It was bound to happen sooner or later that someone would have something bad to say about Jamie since he's not able to defend himself, well guess what you picked the wrong day to pull this so let's get some stuff out in the open, first Jamie was not married and he may not of been what you think is a good dad but he loved his girls and he did the best he could and did you know that he walked around a few times with bruises from his girlfriend? anyone who knew them also knew it wasn't always Jamie doing the hitting.and the man who shot Jamie stood up in open court twice and said he didn"t know Jamie so how could Jamie be the reason for the fence being put up and last but not least where the hell did you get the tale about the crowbar? If you want to know why I think I know so much about this it's because I've read the crime reports and was there for all the court dates and was there when louis said the prayer for Jamie & the family and when the judge made the decision to send louis away for 18 years.I was also there sitting by Jamie with his sister and the girl's mother when Jamie took his last breath so don't sit back and run your mouth and make up stories about someone who can no longer defend himself,it's hard enough for both families without having jerks like you coming on here and saying stupid stuff when you have no idea about what the truth is.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Libra

If you're invited to a party or gathering today and you don't know whether to go, you should. You'll have a terrific time and you might meet someone who always makes your knees go weak. Even if it's a perfectly harmless flirtation and you're both happily committed to other people, it will still do your ego good to have a tantalizing conversation with this person.
