All of the denial, excuses and taunts of "prove it" have been shot down by this article. Now let's see what the Glendale Armenian community has to say. There is no way that a city as nice and virtually violent crime free should be this dangerous to drive around. I have been called all kinds of names on here for complaining about the bad driving behaviour of Glendale Armenians. I was going to say men, but lately the Armenian women have been wreaking havoc in the streets of Glendale also. YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO THE NATION!

La Habra - You are correct and also note I say Armenian I don't differentiate between Man or Woman. Most Armenians whether a woman or a man or in some cases a KID under 21 drive a BMW or Mercedes. I do dispute your nice characteristic of of Glendale as crime free. It may have a low level of reported crime but its just because Glendale Armenians are opening up shop in NOHO and Van Nuys. If they are caught it is reported their. I also fault the Glendale police as they don't do enough about this as it will "RUFFLE" the feathers of the majority Armenian City Council.

I just wish I knew how many Armenians legitimately buy their cars with their own money instead of running it through a fake or illegal business. Also all the Armenian kids who drive their cars don't live at home would be interesting to know. Too many of these kids live at home and work at say BofA or WF and drive the same cars. They are just as irresponsible.

Like La Habra - no comment know can come to the defense of this community after this article.

I hope Glendale, Burbank, and LAPD come to their senses and start attacking this problem head on.

La Bamba - I seldom worry about Armenian drivers when I'm on the road, I worry about them when I'm on foot! They road race down my little side street 55-60 mph. I think the only reason they don't go any faster is that they're texting as they go. How have you been? Tooth

That's why I specifically said "violent crime" free. For a city of 200,000 people there are very few murders, robberies, rapes etc. But the other crimes like fraud and traffic are through the roof!

Good thanks. I use my car for my job (sales) and I drive about 20 miles a day through the streets of Glendale. Also on my day off I drive my wife around for our weekly errands. Now, 20 miles doesn't sound like a lot, but it's in the heart of Glendale. From Pacific to Verdugo north and south, and Los Feliz to Glenoaks east and west. I'm tellin' ya Truth, EVERY 5 minutes or less I observe bad driving behaviour. Tailgating, whipping in and out of traffic, speeding, making right turns from the left lane, you get the picture. 90% of the time it's the profile that we know so well. The funny thing is, my wife is from Guatemala. Her English is fair and she doesn't drive. She lived in L.A. when I met her but moved in with me to Glendale in 1999. She used to ask me "why do these people drive like this?" I didn't have an answer. Now whenever we see a crazy driver she says "Armenian". And we laugh together.

Everybody who lives in Glendale know what I'm talking about. The ones that criticize me are either Armenian or they don't live in Glendale.

I posted post #8 a few days ago. Yesterday, another crash killing 2 young Armenians. The Armenian driver was speeding, cut off another driver on the freeway and crashed. When for God's sake are members of the Armenian community going to stand up and do something about this instead of sticking their heads in the sand? Maybe if someone had done something about it after I posted, these 2 people would still be alive. Who is next?

I don't live in Glendale but when I visit relatives I feel like I am driving through a war zone that is not even in America. This compares to when I was in Tijuana, with no traffic rules and people driving like it was anarchy. Not only are there rude and wreckless, but if you honk you will be insulted for it like it is your fault to care about your life. I'm so glad I don't live there! I find Armenian people overall to be very gracious people. There are many Armenian business owners that I frequent and they all treat me with respect. Hell, even my barber that I have been going to for 10 years! But it's the young males that have the "attitude". One of my problems is that I don't understand why other members of the GLENDALE Armenian people don't speak out about their behaviour, especially the driving behaviour. I'm white, and if there were a bunch of white guys in pick up trucks driving like maniacs in the streets of Glendale, I would be the first one to stand up and condemn them, instead of sticking my head in the sand.

I think that I have found a solution to all of this. Pass a law that allows the Armenian population to own any kind of high-end luxury/sport car they desire, but the car cannot have any engine. That would stop the reckless driving, accidents and insults. The armos would still be able to repeatedly polish their disabledbeemers to a high lustre while visiting(and arguing) with a group of their fellow bro's (who will also have cars minus engines) and the general population will be a lot safer when driving through Glendale. The armo bro's would be able to have an endless car show, of sorts. Honest, boss, I got it cheap. No engine!

I agree with the above comment. Buy the Beemers but please take out the engines. Excellent problem solving!
