Could Mr. Berkland list all of his prediction in the past (these predictions must have been documented)? We can evaluate his predictions with the world earthquake history. If his prediction is 10% or more correct, we should give him credit. If he only predicted 1 earthquake correctly for the past 20 or 30 years, his prediction is valueless.

Scientists outside of the conventional thinking US science community have looked at a variety of earthquake predictors including animal behaviour for decades.

In the US, the prediction practice belongs to a very specialized group who apparently know only how to use one tool for analysis. So not much progress here.

I was working at an electronics plant in Scotts Valley at the time of the 89 earthquake. Our guy that did the receiving for the plant told me he was on the truck loading dock when the earthquake hit. There was a cat that use to come around the plant we all named Rosie. He said about five seconds before the earthquake Rosie was walking tough the loading area and jumped sraight up in the air about three feet. When she hit the ground she took off running like god was chasing her. She knew it was coming.
