Virgil C. Puvogel, 85, of Fairview, died Tuesday evening, January 17, 2012, at Midland Hospice in Topeka.

Four north-central Kansas communities will share in more than $1.5 million in federal money to rehabilitate or demolish homes, the state's commerce department announced Thursday.
