Since they were trying to get the nine-foot statue of Lincoln in for Rememberance Day, did anyone actually bother to ask the people did they actually even want the statue? I think that there are enough statues here now, including the dumb one on the square!

It is a sad state of affairs when people think so little of the history of our country as the three people who have made the comments above. Thank God that there were people willing to die to give them the freedom to make such stupid comments. Just goes to show you how far our country has sunk, and how little respect these nitwits have for anyone other than themselves. Thousands of young men and women die so that these morons can exsist.

Hey butthead my comment is not directed towards any of the people who fought and died for my FREEDOM OF SPEECH! It is directed at this stupid monument that Gettysburg has more then it needs already. The placement of this eyesore is to possibly be in Alumni Park of the Gettysburg School District and Alumni have paid money for bricks in the walkway and park itself. I think this is a slap in the face of everyone including me that have paid good money to do such a project to honor those who have passed threw the doors of the School system of Gettysburg.

The best an only place it should be put is in the National Cemetary on the location in which the historical speech was made! You of all people a "proud historian" should be one who would be pushing for it to be put there! I am one that will not be told by people who have no clue of the everyday doings of Gettysburg just to have another monument put up for no reason! Plus we did not buy or hire this joker to make it anyway we shouldn't even take it to start with!

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
