The National Park Service is considering reopening Lady Liberty's crown for the first time since the Sept.

The U.S. Postal Service has added Catharine and Woodston to its list of proposed closings, offering mail delivery by rural carriers instead.

Many residents think it's a foregone conclusion the post offices will be closed, something postal authorities repeatedly denied.

Four more northwest Kansas post offices have been added to a list of rural Kansas post offices being reviewed for possible closure.
