For the GUI400LIC issue, we had same issue, had to get new version from vendor, libraries SEADAS and SEALMS, upgrade from V4.32 to V4.35 Same for DBU and many other products.
The function that you are describing, basically keeps the RAID striping in place, and just deletes everything but the load source & LIC.
Agreed, the API is the better solution, especially for long term and flexible use.

Tapes can easily be shared between systems, but the 1st system to use a tape becomes the owner of that tape.
After adding Jay County to the mix, it appears the Allen County Athletic Conference may be losing a member in the future.
You could just "erase user asp" and start anew from the save21 tape, that would be almost as fast as anything, since the asp is already created and initialized.
