This is why you never want to store anything at Public Storage or any other large chain. They have a bunch of high security storages in Torrance that are a lot cleaner and cheaper.

yeah public storage is the worst, the people that work there and live on the properties are very odd! especially the lunatic in torrance on del amo & anza. oh and their corporate headquarter do not return your calls for complaints.
you would be better off renting a garage.

Do you have any storage suggestions, I was going to rent from Public Storage but after this story I think I changed my mind. I would like to store my stuff in the Torrance/Carson area.

This is a burglary, not a robbery. Stop making the public more ignorant.

I had a problem with that nut also.

I wouldn't use Public Storage for anything.

There is a place on Western and 220th, I think it's
called TorranceWestern storage. I had my things stored there for 4 years, I never had a problem, it was secured and patrolled all the time. The prices are competitive but well worth it.

I store my stuff at Wesco Self Storage on Normandie and 190th. The price is good and they seem to be very secure. It's amazing how many self storage facilities there are in Torrance. From my research, this one seems to be one of the best.

Seems like most stuff in storage is pretty much not worth keeping. People have too much stuff to begin with. I've known 3 people who have stored stuff in the past. For 2 of them, seemed like a total waste of money. Older sofas. Beds. etc.... Better off just selling the stuff or giving it away. Craigslist. No idea why I just wasted my time putting a comment on this.

Jimmy: I have no idea why i'm wasting my time commenting on your comment except for it being one of the most practical posts i've seen in awhile, even though because of your comment I might have missed the bidding on a box of used shoehorns on ebay.

"Robbery " is of the person, and "burglary " is of the property. The headline here should of read
"Storage facility burglary reported".

Some people have valid reasons for using a storage facility. Most use it to hoard things that they can't bring themselves to throw away. I have friends who have 4 storage units. Nothing in them gets taken out or used, then just can't throw anything away. What a waste of money. I feel sorry for their children whom will one day have to go through that mess and get rid of everything. If you don't use it, get rid of it! That being said, I'm glad they caught the culprits.

I have a storage unit and it is very useful. I do not have a huge garage or any extra storage space in my house.
