It's sad. A lot of people got into homes they couldn't afford. I knew it was too good to be true.

To lose a home and face the possibility of being homeless is indeed very sad but do you know what is really sad? The City of Carson is considering or has agreed to give grants or free money to people who do not have enough money for a down payment so that they can buy a house.

If you have not been responsible enough in life to save for a down payment or simply do not have the money for a down payment then you really should not buy a home. Giving people down payment money to buy a house in my opinion will just add more foreclosures in the future.

This does not appear to be sound fiscal policy!
