You don't mess with seniors. Just ask my 81 year old dad. He'll kick your a@# to the ground before you can say "father time."

Good One, surprised he didn't get tasered or shot - maybe the cop will think twice now about stopping people for very little reason

He was clocked doing 52 in a marked 35MPH Zone, which is 3mph less than the limit on some highways.

I think Obama needs to invite the two of them to the White House, sit down, and enjoy some OB lager and Kimchi.

Yes, imagine that mean cop stopping that man for speeding. What on earth was he thinking!? Are you completely dense? There was nothing petty or wrong with the stop. While the story is semi-humorous, its people like you who make me wince to think how little our society thinks about our laws. If that old man had run down someone, you would have been one of the turds screaming about him driving at his age!

What really amazes me is that he was allowed to get to his feet again knowing that the suspect was able to kick that high. Maybe, the officer likes pain. Is this a great training aid for rookies or what!!!!

Never ever take your eyes off of a snake as he will strike again and again. Maybe it's time for that officer to go back to the academy. They need to teach the rookies that even though seniors look old, they're not necessarily done yet!!!!

You lost me here. Nimrod was Monarch in the bible (Genesis, I think). I don't get the reference here unless you think he (Nimrod) is communicating from the grave. Nimrod was also a punk rock band, is that what you mean?

First, the officer is a woosey for not being able to control a 78 Vietnamese guy who probably weighed all of what, 90lbs? Maybe 5'3" tall?

Second the officer should be arrested for battering a cuffed suspect. Why would a 78yr old have cuts to his face?

Third the victim should consider himself lucky. In Torrance he would have been shot multiple times in the back. Police would have said the cop feared for his life and protected himself and used self defense in emptying his magazine into the guy's back.

Some of you may not like this but TPD has a history of suspect officer involved shootings that always seem to go unanswered. I will pray for Mr. Tran's speedy recovery.

You can thank Bugs for calling Elmer Fudd a poor little Nimrod (hunter), some took it to mean idiot and the term stuck.
