People need to stop jumping to conclusions without all the facts and circumstances in front of them. Would you feel the same way if an Officer died on a simple arrest? We do know the guy fought with police, he ran from police, and there is always a gun on the scene of every call(the Officers). Who's to say the guy wasn't on PCP which gives him enormous strength and ability without feeling any pain. All i'm saying, at least get all the facts before accusing officers of wrong doing. They could of been in the fight of their life, like no one ever seems to think about. K-9 is there to protect his master, and it sounds like the taser didnt work and he still fought with police. The dog was prob doing his job and protecting his master. I agree with the other person, if the guy just gave up and didnt fight and run, this wouldn't of been any issue at all. Public always fault police on what things appear, and stereotype them for past or a selected incidents. They never think about the hundreds of things they do , and go beyond the line every day to make it safe out there for everyone. All people are hearing is that a taser and K-9 was used, and a man is dead. I sympathize for the guys family and my blessing are with them, but it sounds like the Officer's were using everything they had available to them, i order to avoid deadly force.
Look outside the box people. |

Well, according to the article, they never mention the fact that dogs were "used". It simply says that he threw himself onto the hood of the K-9 unit's vehicle, giving them reason to believe he had a mental disorder and needed an ambulance. If he was killed by dogs, it's VERY fishy that it wasn't mentioned in the article, and it would also give a very good reason to why they can't find the taser's prong marks on the man's body. Noone but those involved can ever know they whole or true story, but "who's to say..." is a nice way to defend something you have no idea about. "Who's to say the cops didn't use all their tasers, laugh about it and sick the dogs on him?" It's an "if" situation and when YOU are accusing people of jumping to conclusions, it's an invalid rebuttal.

Read the full article in the Tennessean, both pages. And sure, we can assume either side. I was just throwing out the other view, not defending any action. Now do you kinda see the point? Its not to justify or point the finger, but to prove how quickly an opinion is thrown out without anyone knowing exactly what happened and how. But I do appreciate you views and opinion on the matter. Thanks
