Old elementary eyed for day care location

whats wrong with the daycare we have? It's been a thriving business for 10 years now and i see no need for another one why not try to get another business in their that would bring in more income not free daycare for parents who receive free daycare, food stamps and any other perk that the county has to hand them.

Why are you worrying about the old Gainesboro Elementary building being used for a daycare? The school they are talking about is in Winchester - not Jackson County, TN. I think there are plans for the old FOX Middle school, but not for a daycare.

There is nothing wrong with the daycare available in JC. It's just it's the only one. No other to to have an option. For those of us who do not get free daycare or food stamps or any other government support, OTR is expensive. That's why my children no longer go there. I could not afford it anymore. If it's been a thriving business for ten years, wouldn't opening up another daycare be another business. More income, more jobs, more community options, better daycare prices. The possibilities are endless. How many of you drive past Foodtown or Save a Lot to go all the way into Cookeville to Wal-Mart? Why? Better Prices? More options? Bigger selection? Plus OTR has a waiting list every year and generally they fill up with no more available spots. So wouldn't another daycare add more available spots for children. If your not in OTR and have no one else as a sitter, you are driving all the way to cookeville for your daycare.

i think all yall talkin down on people in jackson county that receve food stamps and govt grants are screwed up.all yall runnin yall mouth bout all this need to take a trip down here and see what a sorry ass lil town it is.i mean there is no hospital.they thought a new jail was more importnant..i mean wtf?so i think another daycare that will help all the single mothers out there would be the way to go..
