It's good to know that the bridge over the Grand River east of Freeman opened on August 25. MO Highway 2 is a shortcut to the Lake of the Ozarks for those of us in Eastern Kansas and the South Metro KC area. The detour around the bridge construction at Freeman took us about 25 miles out of the way. The popular Freeman Market at Highways 2 & C no doubt suffered during the 5-week closing during the peak of the summer Lake season.
