Peterson Trail work is ongoing this week. The trail will extend the Fraser To Granby Trail allowing users to bike to the ball fields from Fraser.

Winter Park resident Todd Holzwarth witnessed a testament to spring recently when he discovered seven kits near Fraser on County Road 8. "It's typical that foxes have multiple kits in a litter, and that they move back and forth to multiple dens," said Colorado Parks and Wildlife District Wildlife Manager Scott Murdock.

Montana-based contractor Five Rivers Inc. has completed work on six sections of the Fraser River from County Road 8 south to CR 804 to stabilize the banks.

The 2012 special district elections take place on Tuesday, May 8, and in Grand County that means five special districts will be holding elections out of a total of about 53 special districts in the county.

I had the pleasure of mountain biking at Granby Ranch last fall. It was a great time to try it ; the weather was perfect, the leaves were changing and it wasn't terribly busy.
