Public Safety Notes: Woman dies in shooting
KANSAS CITY | Shooting kills woman
A woman was killed in a shooting early Tuesday in Kansas City.
The woman was shot in the head about 1:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Missouri Avenue after several men confronted her, according to police. The woman was transported to a hospital and later died of her injuries, police said. The police murder squad has identified the woman, but did not immediately release her name.

Crash kills Raymore man in southeast Kansas
A 30-year-old Raymore man died and two passengers were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday south of Pittsburg, Kan.
The man, Dustin G. Walker, was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Two passengers -- Holly A. Coxe, 21, of Raymore, and Dustie M. Walker, 12, of Franklin, Kan. -- were taken to hospitals for treatment. They were wearing seatbelts, according to a report.
The crash occurred about 10:50 a.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 69 and Kansas 103. Read more
