Ohio To Close Youth Correctional Facility

One of the state's six Juvenile Correctional Facilities got the word Friday morning that they're closing down.

I don't think most of the kids should be there to begin with, unless they have been violent. Better than adult jails though.

Shit, our good kids in the furnace couldnt get a nice place like that prison to use for a school.

think this is the one in portsmouth....not the one in franklin furnace.

The one in Portsmouth was ran by the County and took youth from 5 countys, and it closed 9/11/09. in was in the paper the state will be closing one up north in April of 2010 it is a State facility like the one in Franklin Furnace.

It is in Mohican State Park. A very nice facility, in a beautiful setting.

Using the building for a school is a great idea. Would beat what we have now. Maybe Obama would give Strickland some money and let Green have it.
Maybe if it stays open we could get some of the boys for our football and basketball team. Rock Hill use to get kids from Edgemeade to play.

Green gets hand me down supplies from the juvenile detention facility. Shouldn't it be the other way?
