I suspect that we will see a lot more of this as costs rise and retirees run out of money.

How else can people make ends meet? They still have bills to pay and if he was healthy why shouldn't he work?

HERE WE GO, the liberals are at it AGAIN!! Did you ever think that maybe this guy is a farmer? Maybe this guy was doing some of his routine farmwork when the accident happened? Why would you people automatically assume this guy was working a paying job to make ends meet?

You are correct, I am seeing more and more older folks in the workplace. I cannot get over how many of them I have been seeing working in Fast Food and retail establishments. It is sad actually, that retirement is becoming a luxury.

The gap between the wealthy and the poor has widened so much in the last 7 plus years. It is sad and pathetic.

Maybe he was forced to work to support your drug habits, your cigarettes and your kids on welfare since you are too dam lazy and stonned to do the job.

What would you have asked if it was a 20 or 30 something driver? What? Not enough experience?

If there is a job to fill and a LEGAL citizen that is qualified to fill it, it should not matter their age, sex, or physical appearance.

I'm just overwhelmed by the amount of information Mr. Zondlo provided (note: sarcasm).

If this guy was 83 and had a clean CDL, GOD BLESS him !!!

I hope he was working because he WANTED to, and not because he HAD to !!!

We should all live that long, in health, and be able to drive a truck at 83!

My Prayers are with him and his family.

Mabye I would think that if I didn't know senior citizen dump drivers that are still working to make ends meet. Unfortunately I do. RIP
I was afraid it was someone I knew.

Not necessarily, if it is a private farm.
