Planning the Gentian Garden Club's spring tour is so involved that the 57-member club allows several years to pass between tours, assuring ticket-holders a crisp look at private landscapes typically closed to the public.

The 2012-13 budget was approved by 165 voters earlier this month and the spending plan is good news for taxpayers.
