i believe that there should be a law that not just anyone can own a bit bull. i also believe that anyone with children should not be allowed to have a bit bull. i know that it is believed to be how they are raised. that any dog can do that. how many children die from prairie dog?

These dogs are a breed born to fight to the death and kill. Many are so pure bred til they have no sence like other breeds of animals.
I would like to know why a preacher would own a pit? I love dogs, but I like hunting dogs like a hound. Maybe a small house mutt. My heart goes out to all involved here for your lost. |

People are ignorant about Pit Bulls. There are at least 8 other breeds that rate higher on the bites per year, but the media doesn't advertise those because it doesn't create the same drama. No dog should be allowed to roam free in a pack, it fosters aggression, in any breed. Irresponible owners are the problem, but taking away people's choices or a breed's right to exist is not the solution. Why would a preacher own a Pit? That question doesn't even make sense. The same reson a doctor, actor, or police officer would I suppose.

i happen to own a 10 week old blue nose pit whom i've fallen in love with. If you want to get a law passed to not let EVERYONE have what kind of dog they want, your gonna have to go through me. I will fight against that. You're absolutely redicuclous. If only you've ever had to one to know how they interact with others. If the owner raises them right, they won't be that aggressive. you just have to be patient and spend time to train them.

I also have a six month old blue nose pit, but he is the same as any other dog, it the owners who make dogs mean and to fight that a way, and there are other dogs that are more aggressive and bite more but its the public that puts it out like pits are so mean. any dog can bite and any dog can kill, ect. Its just up to the owners of the dogs how they raise them and treat them. Hell, police dogs are just as aggressive but no one says anything about them.
