Franklin County Fiscal Court has voted 6-1 to buy almost one-half acre for $17,100 from Buck Run Baptist Church to construct a new spur connector from South Scruggs Lane to U.S. 421 .

Well, I see another area has been shut off from the public enjoyment. The falls at the Forks of Elkhorn used to be one of my favorite places to walk my little dog down to so he could wade in the water and cool off.
